

The Telangana government has made elaborate arrangements for the grand celebration of the Ashada Bonalu festival, one of the state's most significant cultural and spiritual events. Hyderabad In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said all departments have been instructed to work in coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the festivities, which will be held from July 16 to August 13 across Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
The government has released ₹15.05 crore to 3,427 temples for the celebrations. The Bonalu festivities will begin on July 16 at the Golconda Sri Jagadamba Mahankali Temple. Special events will also be held at Balkampet Yellamma Temple from July 20 to 22, Secunderabad Ujjaini Mahankali Temple on August 2, followed by the Rangam on August 3, and the famous Lal Darwaza Simhavahini Bonalu on August 9. Authorities have made comprehensive arrangements to ensure the convenience and safety of lakhs of devotees expected to participate.
