The Telangana Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is scheduled to meet at the State Secretariat on Friday. According to official sources, the meeting is expected to hold detailed discussions on the revised cost estimates of major irrigation projects, a key issue pending before the government. The outcome of these deliberations is likely to influence the progress of several ongoing irrigation works across the state.
The issue came into focus during the previous Cabinet meeting when Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy pointed out that proposals related to the revised project estimates were still pending at the official level and had not been placed before the Cabinet. Responding to the concern, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy assured ministers that the matter would be taken up comprehensively in the next Cabinet meeting.
