Telangana Agitators’ Recognition Committee Reviews Identification Process

A meeting of the Telangana Agitators’ Recognition Committee was held in Hyderabad under the chairmanship of K. Keshava Rao at his residence. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, MLC Prof. Kodandaram, former MLC Ramulu Naik and Mothe Shobhan Reddy attended the meeting. The committee discussed the process of identifying those who played an active role in the Telangana statehood movement.

The committee has already held several rounds of consultations with student activists, poets, artists, writers, intellectuals, people’s organisations and representatives of various sections of society. Their experiences, opinions and suggestions regarding the movement and criteria for identifying activists were reviewed. Based on the inputs received, the committee will prepare a comprehensive report and is expected to meet Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy soon.
