‘TechnoVIT 26’ Begins at VIT Chennai

‘TechnoVIT 26’ commenced at VIT Chennai on Thursday, bringing together students and young professionals from across India and several other countries. Alexander Fomin, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Chennai, attended as the chief guest, while Arulselvam Harikrishnan, Vice President (Operations and Logistics) at Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, was the guest of honour. More than 15,000 participants are taking part in the two-day event.

Fomin said TechnoVIT provides a common platform for students and young professionals working in engineering, robotics, coding, design and several other fields. Harikrishnan emphasised that innovation without a clear purpose and objective cannot remain sustainable in the long term. VIT founder and Chancellor Dr G. Viswanathan said science and technology are essential for any society aspiring to progress. VIT Vice-President Dr GV Selvam, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr T. Thyagarajan, Director Dr K. Sathyanarayanan, Additional Registrar Dr PK Manoharan and TechnoVIT Convenor Dr M. Jayasudha were among those present.
