TDP MLA Kuna Ravikumar Caught in Floodwaters.. Narrow Escape

TDP MLA Kuna Ravikumar had a narrow escape while inspecting the flood situation in Srikakulam district. The MLA, along with District Collector Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar, Superintendent of Police K.V. Maheswara Reddy and other officials, was visiting flood-affected areas when the water flow suddenly intensified. The group was caught in the strong current during the inspection. Flood levels in the Nagavali and Vamsadhara rivers have been rising amid heavy rains in the district, prompting authorities to remain on high alert.

Rescue teams were deployed after the incident, with NDRF and SDRF personnel joining the operation. The MLA, Collector, SP and other officials were brought to safety, according to the information available. Authorities have urged residents in flood-prone areas to remain alert and avoid entering or attempting to cross overflowing rivers, streams and low-lying routes.
