

Tamil Nadu has attracted major investment commitments at the first Vettri Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave 2026, held under the leadership of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. A total of 97 investment agreements worth Rs. 67,452 crore were signed, with the proposed projects expected to create more than 1 lakh employment opportunities across the state. The investments are expected to strengthen sectors such as data centres, automobiles, renewable energy and engineering.
Foreign companies have also shown significant interest in Tamil Nadu, with investments of more than Rs. 15,050 crore linked to several projects. Companies including Saint-Gobain and Super Micro Computer are among the major investors. The conclave aims to strengthen the state’s industrial ecosystem, attract domestic and global businesses and accelerate employment generation.
