

The Tamil Nadu Assembly session commenced at 9:30 AM on Monday, marking the beginning of a new legislative term. Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay took oath as the MLA from Perambur in the assembly. The oath was administered by pro-tem Speaker M.V. Karuppaiyah. Along with the Chief Minister, nine ministers including N. Anand and Adhav Arjuna also took oath as MLAs.
Following the Chief Minister’s oath, several senior leaders including DMK legislative party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, former Chief Minister and AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami, and O. Panneerselvam were sworn in as MLAs. Members from AIADMK, including A. Krishnamurthy and K.P. Anbalagan, also took oath, marking the formal start of the new assembly proceedings.
