The Supreme Court will hear petitions today seeking the formulation of guidelines to regulate airline ticket pricing in India. The petitioners have urged the apex court to introduce a transparent framework that prevents arbitrary fare hikes and protects the interests of air travelers.
The matter will be heard by a bench comprising Justice Vikram and Justice Sandeep. The hearing is expected to focus on whether regulatory measures are required to ensure fair pricing practices and greater transparency in the aviation sector.
