Following the ongoing crisis in West Asia and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to reduce fuel consumption, the Supreme Court of India has introduced major energy-saving measures in its functioning.
As per the new directive, court proceedings will be conducted entirely in virtual mode on Mondays and Fridays. From Tuesday to Thursday, hearings will follow a hybrid system, allowing litigants to attend either physically or virtually as per convenience. The Supreme Court Registry has issued a circular formalizing these changes.
