Supreme Court Makes Key Remarks on Rape Cases in Delhi

The Supreme Court heard a matter concerning a series of rape incidents in Delhi and made significant observations on preventing such crimes. The court said that merely making arrests is not enough to address the problem. Effective measures must be put in place so that potential offenders fear committing crimes.

The court also stressed the need to strengthen surveillance across Delhi. It suggested enhanced monitoring and security at bus stops, metro stations, railway stations, schools and colleges. The observations underscored the need for preventive measures and a stronger security mechanism to curb crimes against women.
