Sudden Floods in Tibet.. Isha Foundation Pilgrims Go Missing

Sudden floods in the China–Tibet border region have raised concerns over the safety of pilgrims who travelled for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Around 300 members associated with the Isha Foundation are reported to have undertaken the pilgrimage, with 77 pilgrims reportedly unaccounted for following the floods. Around 50 of those reported missing are believed to be Indian nationals, while the group included pilgrims from 19 countries. The pilgrims are believed to have gone missing while returning from the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev is currently in Tibet, according to the information available. Speaking about the situation, he said hundreds of Indians were reportedly missing in the affected region and that one of his own groups could not be traced. He has sought permission from Chinese authorities to travel to Gyirong to assess the situation. Efforts are underway to trace the missing pilgrims and assess the impact of the floods.
