Students Brave Flooded Road to Reach School in Telangana’s Kamareddy

Heavy rains in Telangana’s Kamareddy district caused several tanks to overflow, leaving roads in low-lying areas inundated. The Kaslabad tank near Dubba Thanda under Kubyanaik Thanda gram panchayat in Pedda Kodapgal mandal reached full capacity and began overflowing. As a result, the road connecting Dubba Thanda with Kaslabad became flooded and risky for commuters.

Despite the difficult conditions, around 20 students crossed the flooded stretch with the help of elders on Thursday to attend classes at the primary school in Kaslabad. They faced the same situation while returning home. Residents and parents said the problem recurs every monsoon and urged the authorities to take permanent measures to ensure safe access to the school.
