Strong Tremors Hit Tibet Again

Tibet was hit by another natural disaster shortly after a glacier collapse triggered severe flooding on August 26. A strong earthquake struck the region on Thursday afternoon, with the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reporting a magnitude of 5.0 on the Richter scale.

According to GFZ officials, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres. No casualties have been reported so far, they said. The tremor has caused fresh concern in Tibet, coming just days after the region was affected by major flooding following the glacier collapse.
