

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the RTC-Metro common pass has been introduced to make public transport in Hyderabad more convenient and accessible. He said the integration of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation buses and Metro services will help commuters save time, effort and travel costs. The common pass is part of efforts to encourage people to shift from private vehicles to public transport and strengthen the city’s public transportation system.
Prabhakar said an efficient public transport network is essential to address Hyderabad’s growing traffic challenges and reduce the travel burden on citizens. He said daily, monthly and common pass options have been made available and that passenger feedback will be considered to improve the system further. He appealed to people to make use of the RTC-Metro common pass and contribute to strengthening public transport in the city.
