Steel Victims in Visakhapatnam Prepare for Protest

The second phase of protest by families displaced due to the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant is set to begin tomorrow. The displaced families will stage a “cooking protest” (Vanta Vaari pu agitation) as a form of demonstration, demanding attention to their issues from the government.

Meanwhile, police have initiated preventive measures. Union leaders have been taken under bind-over procedures. Officials stated that tight security arrangements have been made to prevent any untoward incidents during the protest.
