

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar praised the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) for its commendable services in challenging conditions along the country’s borders. He said the force has been effectively preventing drug trafficking, arms smuggling, human trafficking, illegal migration, counterfeit currency circulation, wildlife-related crimes and other organised criminal activities. He also appreciated the SSB’s efforts to adopt modern technology and advanced methods of border management.
Bandi Sanjay inaugurated 48 newly constructed family accommodation units for SSB personnel at the force’s campus near Ibrahimpatnam in Rangareddy district. He inspected the newly built residential complex along with senior officials and enquired about the facilities and welfare measures being provided to the personnel and their families. Addressing the SSB personnel, the minister said the new houses are more than just buildings and reflect the Centre’s commitment to the welfare of its armed police forces. He stressed that ensuring safe and comfortable living conditions for the families of personnel serving at the borders enables them to focus completely on national security and their duties.
