Speed Up Warangal Airport Works.. CM Revanth Urges Union Minister

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has urged Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu to expedite the development works of the Adilabad and Mamunur (Warangal) airports. The Chief Minister met the Union Minister at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, the Civil Aviation Ministry office in New Delhi, and discussed several issues concerning the state’s aviation infrastructure. Revanth Reddy said the state government had completed and handed over the required land acquisition for the Mamunur airport. He also requested the establishment of passenger and cargo terminals, along with Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities, at Adilabad airport. He further sought a joint meeting between the Defence and Civil Aviation ministries to finalise the runway at Adilabad.

Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said tenders for the Mamunur airport would be invited within two weeks and finalised by December, with the foundation stone for the works expected to be laid in the same month. The Chief Minister also urged the Centre to support the development of heli-tourism in Telangana, saying it could give a further boost to the state’s tourism sector. Civil Aviation Ministry officials said a report on the proposed seaplane landing facility at Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad would be submitted to the state government within two weeks. MPs Anil Kumar Yadav and Suresh Shetkar, State Government Advisor (Protocol) Harkara Venugopala Rao, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, CM Secretary Manik Raj and other officials attended the meeting.
