South Central Railway Conducts Massive Ticket Checking Drive Across the Zone

South Central Railway’s Commercial Department conducted an extensive ticket checking drive across the entire zone from August 24 to 26, keeping the festival and holiday rush in mind. The initiative focused on preventing unauthorised travel and ensuring a safe, comfortable journey for genuine passengers. Trains were thoroughly checked for passengers travelling without valid tickets, irregular travel and unbooked luggage.

During the drive, officials detected 13,964 passengers travelling without tickets or proper authority and 1,189 passengers carrying unbooked luggage. Ticket checking resulted in revenue of Rs.1.28 crore. In addition, 37 passengers were fined Rs.6,400 for littering, five unauthorised vendors were fined Rs.10,000 and seven passengers were fined Rs.14,000 for smoking on railway premises.
