Mudragada’s sons, Balu and Giribabu, stated that their father stood as a symbol of self-respect and strong personality. They said he had clearly instructed them on how his last rites should be conducted. According to his wishes, the funeral was carried out without any official state honors, as he had explicitly declined government protocols. They also expressed gratitude to Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for extending support and showing deep respect during this difficult time.

They further clarified that their family had no contact with Barlapudi Kranti’s family for several years, and it was Mudragada’s own decision that she should not attend his final rites. Appealing to the media, they requested not to broadcast or publish stories that could cause them mental distress, urging respect for their family’s emotions and privacy during this period of grief.
