

A private travel bus travelling from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam overturned after going out of control near Hussenabad on the outskirts of Mothe mandal in Suryapet district around 1 am on Wednesday. According to Mothe SI Lachchi Reddy, the Maitri Travels sleeper bus was carrying 33 passengers when the driver suddenly applied the brakes, reportedly after feeling drowsy, near an HP petrol station.
The accident damaged the front windshield of the bus and left 11 passengers injured. Locals and highway personnel immediately reached the spot and launched rescue operations. The injured were shifted to the Suryapet Regional Hospital. Nine passengers with minor injuries were discharged after treatment on Wednesday morning, while two passengers who suffered leg fractures were shifted to Hyderabad for better medical care.
