SJP Continues Stir at Jantar Mantar

Protests by Kakroach Janata Party (SJP) over the NEET controversy continued despite clashes during the ‘Chalo Parliament’ march, where police used tear gas and resorted to lathi-charge. Protesters returned to Jantar Mantar and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Students, youth, and parents participated in the protest, stating that their fight was for transparency and fairness in the education system.

Social activist Sonam Wangchuk continued his hunger strike in support of the protesters and was shifted to Medanta Hospital after his health condition deteriorated. Political leaders visited injured protesters and extended support. Police registered cases over alleged violence during the protest and denied claims of excessive force. Authorities also stated that no deaths occurred during the clashes.
