The Election Commission of India (ECI) has officially started Phase-3 of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process across 16 states and 3 Union Territories. Telangana and Punjab are among the states included in this phase. According to the schedule released by the ECI, preparation work, staff training, and printing activities will be carried out from June 15 to June 24.
From June 25 to July 24, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct door-to-door visits to verify voter details. Rationalisation of polling stations will also be completed by July 24. The draft voter list will be published on July 31, while claims and objections can be submitted between July 31 and August 30. The ECI plans to resolve all objections by September 28 and release the final voter list on October 1.
