The election affidavit of West Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has gone viral on social media after revealing unexpected details about his assets. Despite declaring a net worth of ₹85.87 lakh, the affidavit reportedly showed that he owns no car, no gold, and has only ₹12,000 in cash. It also stated that he has no liabilities or debts.
The disclosure surprised many people, as influential politicians are often associated with huge personal wealth. Reports suggest that most of Suvendu Adhikari’s assets are linked to savings schemes, bank deposits, insurance policies, and properties in Purba Medinipur. The affidavit gained attention soon after his major political victory in West Bengal, reigniting discussions about transparency in politicians’ wealth declarations.
