Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has resigned from his post. He said that he has submitted his resignation letter to the Governor’s office. He stated that the decision was taken based on the party high command’s instructions and that he has followed the leadership’s directions.
Siddaramaiah added that the government has a full majority and that he has made way for the appointment of a new Chief Minister. He expressed gratitude to the people for giving him the opportunity to serve as Chief Minister and said he would cooperate for a smooth transition of power.
