The disappearance of gold and diamond ornaments from the famous Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, has triggered widespread concern. The issue came to light after the Kerala Director General of Police submitted a report, raising questions about the temple’s security arrangements. The report stated that ornaments weighing around 78 grams are missing.
Among the missing items is also the diamond ornament known as Vairam Nama. Officials said some items taken for repair were never returned to the temple. The DGP has recommended strengthening security measures and storing all valuable items in secure vaults.
