Severe floods have wreaked havoc across China following incessant rainfall, causing 62 rivers to overflow nationwide. Since Monday night, at least 20 people have lost their lives and 331 others have been injured due to landslides and related incidents. The continuous downpour has led to widespread destruction, disrupting normal life and raising serious concerns over safety and infrastructure.
In a shocking development, a farm in Hangzhou collapsed due to the floods, resulting in nearly 900 snakes escaping into nearby areas. Residents are gripped with fear as the snakes have reportedly entered homes through floodwaters. Although officials clarified that most of the escaped snakes are non-venomous, they have strongly warned people against attempting to catch them manually.
