Senior Actor GV Narayana Rao Passes Away

The Telugu film industry is mourning the death of veteran actor and producer GV Narayana Rao, who passed away at the age of 73 on Wednesday evening. He had been suffering from health issues for some time. The Movie Artists Association (MAA) and several prominent personalities from the film industry expressed their condolences following his demise.

Born in Kurumaddali village of Krishna district, Narayana Rao received acting training at the Madras Film Institute. He made his film debut with K. Balachander’s 1976 film Antuleni Katha and went on to act in successful movies including Mutyala Pallaki, Angadi Bomma, Chilakamma Cheppindi, Gang Leader and Hitler. He was also a close friend of Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi. Apart from acting, he established himself as a producer with films such as Devanthakudu, Intiko Rudramma, Yamudiki Mogudu and Pelli Neeku Shubham Naaku. His death has left the Telugu film industry deeply saddened.
