Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Seethakka said the Telangana government has expressed objections to the VBG Ramji scheme and is demanding the continuation of the existing system. She stated that a final decision on the scheme will be taken during the Cabinet meeting scheduled for July 2.
The minister said the government is considering whether to continue the VBG Ramji scheme or introduce a new alternative. She emphasized that reducing the financial burden on states is essential to achieve the Viksit Villages 2047 vision. Seethakka also noted that Telangana received 13 awards in the Jal Sanchar sector, which she described as proof of the state's performance.
