Minister Seethakka met and consoled women police personnel who were reportedly injured during the clash involving BRS MLAs and MLCs at the Telangana Assembly gate on Monday. The women officers explained the incident to the minister in detail and alleged that some BRS legislators behaved inappropriately with them while they were performing their duties. They also showed related photographs and video footage to support their complaint.
The women police personnel said they faced severe difficulties while managing the situation and alleged that some protesters threw T-shirts and moved aggressively towards them. They also claimed that they were threatened with consequences after a change of government. Some officers said their families were distressed after seeing the visuals of the incident and were discouraging them from taking up such duties.
