Security forces recovered 27 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted along an eight-kilometre stretch between Shangkhalok and Pilong in Manipur’s Kamjong district, a defence official said on Friday.
Indian Army bomb disposal teams subsequently defused all 27 devices, averting a potential threat to public safety. The operation helped eliminate the danger posed by the explosives planted along the route.
