A major search operation is underway after seven fishermen who ventured into the sea from Visakhapatnam on July 1 reportedly went missing. The missing fishermen have been identified as Appala Raju, Bandiyya, Garagayya, Seethudu, Chinna Ammoru, Kari Chinna, and Chinnayya. Their mobile phones have been switched off, raising concern among their families.
Family members alerted the authorities after losing contact with the fishermen. The Indian Navy, Marine Police, and Coast Guard have launched a coordinated rescue operation to trace them. Six of the missing fishermen are from Mukkam village in Bhogapuram, while one belongs to Bheemunipatnam.
