Visakhapatnam Cyclone Warning Centre official Jagannath Kumar stated that high temperatures are being recorded across Andhra Pradesh. He warned that heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in several districts over the next three days, with severe heatwaves expected in some regions. Authorities have issued yellow alerts for a few districts and orange alerts for other areas considering the weather conditions.
Officials advised people to avoid going outdoors unless necessary, especially between 11 AM and 4 PM when temperatures are expected to remain extremely high. Medical experts recommended drinking plenty of water, buttermilk, and fruit juices while taking extra care of children, elderly people, and those with health issues. Light rains are also likely in some parts of Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema. Officials further stated that the southwest monsoon is expected to reach Kerala by May 26 and may gradually advance towards Andhra Pradesh.
