SC Issues Key Order on Imran’s Health

Pakistan’s Supreme Court has issued a key order concerning the health of former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan. The court directed authorities to transfer the jailed former premier to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad for medical examination and treatment. The order came amid repeated concerns from his family and PTI leaders over his reportedly deteriorating health.

PTI leaders welcomed the court’s decision and called for proper medical care for Imran Khan. Former Pakistan President Arif Alvi also expressed concern over his health. Meanwhile, PTI workers and supporters held protests across the country demanding Khan’s release. Imran Khan has been imprisoned at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi since 2023.
