Former Union Home Ministry Under Secretary R.V.S. Mani has alleged that there were serious administrative lapses surrounding the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. According to him, the Indian Coast Guard had identified the boat carrying the terrorists before the attacks, but surveillance was allegedly withdrawn following instructions from higher authorities.
Mani further claimed that the deployment of the National Security Guard (NSG) was deliberately delayed, resulting in commandos reaching the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel later than they could have. His remarks have reignited political discussions on social media. However, these allegations have not been independently verified, and no official response from the Congress party on these specific claims had been issued at the time of reporting.
