Severe heatwave conditions in Telangana are causing growing concern as heatstroke-related deaths continue to rise. Reports indicate that 42 people lost their lives across the state in a single day, including 20 deaths reported in Warangal district alone. More than 100 deaths have reportedly occurred across the state over the last three days.
Temperatures in several parts of the state have crossed 46 degrees Celsius. With the beginning of the Rohini Karthe period from today, weather officials have warned that heat intensity may increase further. The Telangana government has issued a high alert and advised people to avoid going outdoors during peak afternoon hours unless necessary and to take proper precautions against the extreme heat.
