Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has achieved a record milestone with the sale of over 1.21 crore Tirupati laddus in May 2026. The sacred prasadam, offered to devotees after the darshan of Lord Venkateswara, continues to witness growing demand due to increased pilgrim footfall. Compared to previous years, laddu sales have steadily risen from 1.01 crore in May 2024 to 1.10 crore in May 2025, reaching a new high this year. TTD has scaled up production to ensure uninterrupted supply, preparing an average of 4.08 lakh laddus daily while maintaining high quality standards.
To produce these laddus, TTD utilizes over 68 tonnes of raw materials daily, including sugar, gram flour, ghee, cashews, and raisins. Advanced AI-based color sorting machines ensure impurity-free ingredients, while all materials undergo strict laboratory testing. The preparation strictly follows traditional “Dittam” standards approved in the 1950s. Around 700 staff members work in shifts round the clock in the temple kitchen. With modern infrastructure, buffer stocks of up to 10 lakh laddus for peak days, and 24x7 distribution through 56 counters, TTD continues to deliver high-quality prasadam, earning praise from devotees worldwide.
