Revanth Reddy Slams Centre Over Denial of Permission for US Visit

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy strongly criticised the Centre for denying him permission to visit the United States while allowing the Gujarat Chief Minister to undertake a similar foreign tour. He said the decision was not merely an insult to him but an injustice to the people of Telangana and the state’s development. Revanth Reddy said his proposed US and Canada visit was aimed at attracting investments and promoting education and sports, with all details submitted to the Ministry of External Affairs. He demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi explain the political reasons cited for rejecting the US visit.

Revanth Reddy said the issue would be raised in Parliament and that Telangana MPs would put pressure on the Centre in the interest of the state. He maintained that the denial of permission could not stop the government’s development agenda and highlighted the upcoming Telangana Global Summit 2026 scheduled for December 8 and 9. He also dismissed reports that appointments had been sought with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. On the controversy involving Minister Konda Surekha’s daughter, the Chief Minister said the matter was before the party disciplinary committee and that everyone would abide by the high command’s decision.
