Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy attended the NALSA South Zone Regional Conference at Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Telangana High Court Chief Justice Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Supreme Court judges Justice V. Mohan, Justice Alok Aradhe, Justice R. Mahadevan and Justice Vikram Nath were among those present. Addressing the conference, Revanth Reddy said access to justice should not depend on a person’s financial status and welcomed the focus on child online safety.
The Chief Minister said children are increasingly spending time online and may not always be able to identify online risks, making coordinated efforts by parents, police, child protection agencies and legal services essential. He highlighted Telangana’s Bharosa centres, child-friendly court, SHE-Bharosa cyber labs and CybHER app, and said a comprehensive Child Online Safety Framework should be prepared in coordination with the Telangana High Court and Telangana State Legal Services Authority. He also urged parents to actively communicate with children about their online activities and said the government would extend support to strengthen child protection and legal services across the state.
Revanth Reddy also launched Mobile Lok Adalat vehicles under the Telangana State Legal Services Authority. The initiative is aimed at taking free legal services closer to people and improving access to justice. He said the legal services programmes should reach every district and village, with coordinated efforts to ensure that people, particularly vulnerable sections, can access legal assistance.
