A video showing workers allegedly using M-Seal to fill cracks on a bridge along the Mumbai–Goa National Highway (NH-66) has gone viral on social media. The footage reportedly shows repair work being carried out on cracks that appeared on the bridge walls near Nagothane, raising concerns over the quality and safety standards of highway maintenance.
The incident has triggered criticism from netizens, particularly because NH-66 is used by heavy vehicles. Many have questioned the use of M-Seal instead of technically appropriate repair methods such as concrete treatment, structural strengthening or injection grouting. Citizens have urged the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to conduct a detailed inspection and ensure that necessary safety measures are taken.
