Record Number of Devotees Visited Sri Venkateswara Last Month

Tirumala witnessed a record influx of devotees in August, with 24.56 lakh pilgrims visiting the Sri Venkateswara Temple for darshan. The temple received Rs 137.44 crore in Hundi offerings during the month, reflecting the strong flow of devotees. Hundi collections crossed the Rs 5 crore mark on three different occasions in August.

The highest single-day Hundi collection was recorded on August 18, when devotees offered Rs 6.12 crore. In addition, around 10.50 lakh devotees offered their hair as part of their religious vows during the month. The figures highlight the massive turnout and continued devotion of pilgrims visiting Tirumala from across the country.
