Actress Rashmika Mandanna is drawing attention for her social initiative, ‘Project Annapurna’, aimed at supporting underprivileged families. She announced that the programme will cover 400 families across eight locations in South India: Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar, Anantapur, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi and Kodagu. Under the initiative, the families will receive free grocery kits once every three months over the coming year, helping them meet essential food needs.
According to the details shared by Rashmika, each kit will include 75 kg of rice, 10 kg of wheat flour, 15 kg of pulses and 10 litres of cooking oil, along with millets, spices and tea powder. She hopes the assistance will help families reduce their household expenses and save for their children’s future. Rashmika said her character Jayamma in her upcoming film Ranabaali inspired the initiative. The period drama, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, is scheduled for a pan-India release on October 16.
