Rare Medicinal Fish Creates Buzz in Konaseema

Fishermen in Pallipalem village of Konaseema district were delighted after catching three rare and massive ‘Kachidi’ fish in their nets at the local mini harbor. The fish, each weighing between 12 and 13 kilograms, attracted significant attention due to their rarity and high market value.

A local trader purchased the three fish for ₹1.5 lakh. Known for their medicinal properties, Kachidi fish are in high demand in specialized markets, often commanding premium prices. The rare catch drew crowds of curious locals to the mini harbor, where many gathered to get a glimpse of the prized fish and congratulate the fishermen on their good fortune.
