Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has once again been granted parole, this time for a period of 30 days. Since his conviction in 2017, he has received parole on 16 occasions, drawing significant public and legal attention. Earlier this year, in January, he was granted a 40-day parole, further intensifying the debate over the frequency of such relief.
Ram Rahim is currently serving a sentence after being convicted in a rape case, making the repeated parole approvals a matter of controversy. Critics continue to question the grounds on which these paroles are being granted, while authorities maintain that all procedures are being followed as per legal provisions.
