Another low-pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal tomorrow, according to the Meteorological Department. Its impact may bring rainfall to several places in North Andhra and Rayalaseema until September 2. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are also likely in some parts of the state over the next two days, with authorities advising people to remain cautious.
Meanwhile, the country has recorded a rainfall deficit during the period from June 1 to August 26. The weather systems expected to develop in the coming days could increase rainfall activity in some regions. The Meteorological Department has advised people to take necessary precautions during thunderstorms and lightning activity.
