Rainfall Likely in the State Due to Trough System Influence

The State Disaster Management Authority has reported that a trough extends from Telangana through Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu up to Mannar. Due to its influence, light to moderate rainfall is likely on Tuesday in several districts including North Andhra, Kakinada, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Palnadu, Prakasam, Nellore, Kurnool, Nandyal, Chittoor, and Tirupati. Officials also warned of thunderstorms in some areas.

Between Sunday evening and Monday evening, rainfall was recorded in several districts. Gudur in Nellore district recorded 40 mm, Nemalikallu in Palnadu 25 mm, Venkatagiri in Tirupati 24.2 mm, and Ratnagiri in Sri Sathya Sai district along with Hampapuram in Anantapur recorded 22 mm of rainfall.
