The Telugu states are witnessing a mix of scorching heat and sudden rainfall, leaving people uncertain about weather conditions. On Tuesday, heavy rains accompanied by strong winds caused significant disruption in parts of NTR district, especially in Tiruvuru and Vissannapeta. Rainwater inundated low lying areas, several trees were uprooted, and electricity poles were damaged. Floodwater also accumulated in the Tiruvuru bus stand area.
At the same time, temperatures across the state are gradually declining after touching nearly 40 degrees Celsius in recent days. Cool winds generated by a circulation over the Bay of Bengal are providing relief from the heat. Light showers have been reported in several areas over the past week, and the Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall in parts of the state for the next two days.
