The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rains accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds across several districts of Telangana over the next three days. Officials stated that the weather changes are being caused by the influence of a trough and upper-air cyclonic circulation. Wind speeds of 40 to 50 kmph are expected in several regions. Rainfall is likely in Hyderabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.
Meanwhile, authorities warned that temperatures are expected to rise sharply across the state from the day after tomorrow. Red alerts have been issued for several districts due to severe heatwave conditions. Today, red alerts are in place for the erstwhile Adilabad and Jagtial districts, while tomorrow the warning extends to Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, and other northern districts. Officials also cautioned that hot winds are likely in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Khammam, and Karimnagar districts over the next two days.
