Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has strongly criticized the Modi government, alleging repeated irregularities in NEET and NET examinations. He stated that despite recurring scams, the government remains indifferent, ignoring the hard work of lakhs of students. Rahul remarked that expecting accountability from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is futile, as students’ efforts are being undervalued.
Citing a media report, Rahul Gandhi highlighted serious allegations related to the June 2026 UGC-NET exam, including a leaked 100-page PDF before the test, with nearly 90 questions matching the actual paper. He further alleged that question papers were being sold for ₹2.25 lakh across several states. Questioning the lack of response from NTA, Rahul said justice for students seems unlikely and emphasized that collective student voices can bring educational reform.
