Congress MP Rahul Gandhi shared an emotional post recalling the challenges his mother, Sonia Gandhi, faced after the assassination of his father, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. His remarks come ahead of the release of Sonia Gandhi’s autobiography, Belonging: A Journey of Love. Rahul said he felt proud that his mother, who rarely spoke publicly about her personal life, had decided to share her experiences through the book. He also expressed the belief that his father would be proud of Sonia today.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also shared her thoughts, describing her parents’ relationship as a remarkable bond of love. She said she was proud to see her mother express her emotions honestly through the book and praised her for balancing compassion with courage when circumstances demanded it. Priyanka added that the autobiography will give readers an opportunity to understand Sonia Gandhi beyond her public life as a political leader. The book is scheduled to be released on November 10.
