Tension prevailed during the INDIA bloc rally in New Delhi after police stopped a bus carrying opposition MPs en route to Raj Ghat. The MPs were heading to pay tribute to students affected by the NEET paper leak controversy. In a dramatic turn, the bus driver reportedly abandoned the vehicle midway, adding to the chaos. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi strongly criticized the police action, alleging that permission was denied for both India Gate and Raj Ghat visits.
Rahul Gandhi further stated that the opposition would take to the streets in support of protesting students and stand firmly with those injured in the police lathi charge. He also announced plans to pay homage at Raj Ghat to students who lost their lives amid the NEET issue. The INDIA bloc reiterated its complete support for students' demands, intensifying the political confrontation over the ongoing crisis.
